Rangoli

This is the first really warm sunny day after a long cold spell . and this coming Monday is the Indian festival of Holi.  The 1st and 2nd graders spent this morning making rangoli in the Quad.

First, they worked in pairs to make small rangoli using powdered color: 




Then they worked together to make a large rangoli out of flower petals:
