Posting Sunday afternoon here ...
The snows have been visible from the chukkar the last few mornings ..so this morning I woke up early & headed to the top of the hill ... was there by 8 am. The snows were glorious! I walked around the back side of the chukkar between Sisters' Bazaar and Kellogg Church .. and then on the front side all the way to the end at the 'new' Lal Tibba viewpoint near Childers Lodge.
These are the views! My camera is not fancy, but these are reasonable shots of the snows. The highest peak is Bandar Punch (ca 20,000+ feet).
After my walk I attended the service at St. Paul's Church .. built pre-1850 and recently beautifully restored. There were about 30 people at the service. The church is part of the Church of North India, a union protestant organization.
While on my walk I blew Tom's ashes into the wind ... some towards the snows and some to the hillsides where he liked to walk.
